| CrypticStudios Twitch Stream and Future of the Game Posted: 07 Dec 2020 01:46 PM PST I have to say I was impressed with what was covered in the Twitch stream today. I now have a sense that they are trying to steer Neverwinter in the direction of a game that will have long term legs. Not just with balancing game mechanics to be more fluid and understandable in the long run, but in improving the game graphically to keep it competitive and relevant in the next gen landscape. However, none of that is important if everything you do bleeds out the players and disrespects or disregards the base. That is honestly what I expected. This is not at all the impression Chris Whiteside gave me though. He actually seems to be pushing a culture of transparency and collaboration that I greatly appreciate. Along with Jared Sears, there seems to be an openness to reasonably accommodate players. I do feel they had a misstep when it came to announcing the bonding and companion changes, but completely blindsiding us with the massive system change. It was refreshing followed by exasperating. However, I currently don't think our tangible in game accomplishments will be erased in the time it takes for the new system patch to go live. I'm not sure they FULLY understand the sheer Herculean efforts involved in what some of us do to reach the heights of the game, but not many probably would. They have their own mountains to climb and this last weekend it seems they went above and beyond immersing themselves in the feedback of the player base. I'm sure much to their chagrin at times. We can get a bit passionate. With all that said, I am cautiously optimistic that we won't be clowned again. At least not intentionally. What many of us have felt has been months of money grabs intended to suck as much money out of an end of life game, before it turns into a ghost town, now seems like a possible new dawn... Time will tell. I say keep that feedback coming. They ARE listening, even though it takes a lot of their time. If they see this, I'd like to say thank you. Most people hate change, but in the long run, if they approach it like I saw today, it will be good for the game. On a side note, I disagree with Jared's view on companion categories. To me they are a somewhat arbitrary remnant of the old system. I think it would be better to just get it in line with the mount system while you have the chance. That would make it a lot more intuitive, especially with the other changes to companions. 10 Mythicals for 100% Bolster. Keep in mind 5 Mythicals for each category would just limit diversity in companion usage. Either that or divide them into the same 3 categories you do players. DPS, Tank, and Healer. You could even apply the same %bonuses to hp and damage. Maybe you SHOULD eliminate augment types also or put all augments into tank and/or healer category. [link] [comments] | ||

I just recently got the cage key for the repentant dragon cultists from Tyranny Morlanth's shroud from cloaked ascendancy (as well as netherese arcanist from the chest box) Infernal forge weapons + elite vallenhas guard + slag/forge hounds Most transmog items from redeemed citadel vender (citadel guards armor, starfade cape, angel wings) I'm looking for new things to farm for. Currently I'm just working towards some of the acquisitions inc. prizes (like magic wand and swag bags) and farming undermountain mini bosses for the currencies for Zok boxes/vanity pets. I also farm juma bags daily for companions/mounts/etc. Edit: I've also got the mini baludric ghost companion from completing vallenhas and 2/3 vanity pets from lomm If I didn't mention it in this post, I prob don't have it-- so what am I missing? Anything from any campaign (I havent ran them all)? Boss drops? Rng boxes?? Companions? Also i'm not interested in gear for stats or anything because I'm already geared up. | Posted: 07 Dec 2020 12:54 PM PST With all the changes on the distant horizon (PS4 Player) I don't know what the heck I should be doing now esp with my mains. I've been reading all the threads here and and at the forum and been watching the content providers reactions but even if I tried to make a guess of what I should be working towards it's all guess work because so many things can still change, especially for us on consoles as we most likely won't see the changes to spring at the earliest. Do I just run dailies and try to save up AD? I feel upgrading ANYTHING at this point could be a waste of time and materials, that said, if I have to play for months more before the changes do I keep my toons stagnant? This whole thing feels like a cluster you-know-what, as it leaves so many players in a bind. Sit and wait? IDK? What do you all suggest? [link] [comments] | ||
