99% of people insist on just killing everything, a lot of the time they stand in the middle while doing so. This actually takes much longer to finish the encounter then is necessary. Pro tip: Aggro all of the enemies that spawn but do not kill them. When 4-5 are active, only enraged enemies spawn. (These you have to kill when you are protecting the wizard.) so basically, stand still and let the 4-5 enemies attack you and only kill the enraged that spawn once every 60 seconds or so. During the heroic where you protect the portal, you can actually disregard the enraged guys and just let them go in the portal. If nobody ruins your set up, you can literally aggro the mobs and put your controller down for 5 minutes and walk away. This way you can relax and multitask without having to pay too much attention to the encounter with the benefit of it completing faster then the usual way people try.
Pro tip: to maximize efficiency, try to use low magnitude powers. The goal is do low damage for as long as possible. I usually just use at wills and even sometimes handicap myself by taking a bonding stone off my character. The less enemies to fight the easier it is. They only spawn after enemies die so the less the die the better.
Pro tip: After completing missions in adventuring zones, A lot of the times you should just release so you are sent back to the closest campfire. The majority of the time it'll bring you right back to the quest giver saving you a ton of time traveling on mount.
Pro Tip: It's actually much quicker running an ME with less people. The reason is that more people = more enemies and higher enemy health. The true sweet spot is running a 1 rune ME with 1 other person (or 2 others max) I don't think a lot of people realize this and thats why they always insist on having a full group to go in. It takes much longer doing it this way.
Pro Tip: Heres a great way to farm insignias to upgrade. There is a quest in Sharandar's third zone that can be given called "War machines" which sends you to an instance to defeat catapults and what not. You can actually farm this instance. by leaving through any other means then the final door. The reason you'd want to farm this is for the 6 profession nodes that you can hit over and over. They have a solid chance at giving you an insignia. It's btc but unbound once you upgrade it. There are quite a few more but I'm not sure I want to divulge my deepest secrets just yet lol Hope this helps some of you! [link] [comments] | ||
