How to spawn Infected Manes in Avernus Wasteland

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 03:43 PM PDT

I see a lot of people driving around in Wasteland looking for Infected Manes - they drop the chains needed for T1 lures.

But I do not see that many actively driving over the small roaming manes.

Know this: Infected Manes spawns when the small roaming manes are killed by driving over them. It takes approximately 10 small manes killed to spawn one Infected Mane.

There is one trick to this: By the tower/house in NW corner there is a group of 3 manes that spawn, just next to the Infected Mane spawnpoint there.

If you drive over them they will respawn again 10 seconds later.

You can kill a lot of small manes in a short time by serial killing those.

Buying Stuff In A Free To Play Game

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 08:27 PM PDT

So in the ZEN Market, they're selling the rewards from Tales of Old for a limited time. At present, it seems the only way to get the ZEN to buy them is to shell out real money and then use that ZEN to buy them if you are so inclined. And I look here on reddit and on Twitter and people are complaining about it being a cash grab. Literally every time the developers try to sell anything in this game that might require people willing to open their wallets to get it, it's a cash grab and the game is dying and they're trying to make a buck before shutting it all down. That's more people than not, and this time is no different, but I have a question for all of you who thinks this way: How much did it cost you to download, install, and start playing this game? No, seriously, answer me. How much did you pay to start playing Neverwinter? I'm not talking about the price of your internet service, I'm not talking about the price of your machine, I'm talking about the game itself. Oh, that's right, it's FREE!

This is a free to play game, if the developers didn't try to sell anything for real money, they wouldn't be able to keep the servers up for going on 8 years or pay themselves for the work they do, so how is it the end of the world when they try to generate revenue to put back into the game? It's not. This is how they make money to keep the game going. You think World of Warcraft would still be going today if Blizzard didn't try to make money off of it? You think Elder Scrolls Online or Final Fantasy XI or XIV don't require money at all? Get out of here with that.

To be clear, I am not condoning the developers of Neverwinter selling the rewards for Tales of Old for ZEN or $150 mount packs, and you know full well that you aren't required to pay a dime to get ahead in Neverwinter. Everything you need can be paid for with grinding and putting in effort. Buy it or don't, doesn't matter because there's always going to be people who will or will not and guess what, that's their choice when the developers do this. To put it another way, if you play any of a good 95% of any of the other games available today, you have to contend with DLC and Season or Battle Passes and Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus on console to get the full experience and/or play online with others. You don't have to buy this game or pay for Xbox Live or PlayStation Plus to play it with others, but all the other games you do and the DLC for them, how is putting things up for sale on the ZEN market and the easiest way to get said ZEN being to drop real money on it any different? Answer me.

What happened to the automatic refining of AD?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 04:59 PM PDT

A while back, some months ago, during the last siege of Neverwinter event, as soon as you logged into the game and got into the world, the game would automatically refine RAD for you, and then you could refine an additional time, for up to 200K AD per day.

But then suddenly, it just stopped. Why was that? Was it some kind of previous bug or something? I kinda liked that the game would allow you to refine 200K per day. Anyone else remember when the game would automatically refine AD for you as soon as you got into the game world?

Has there ever been mention if Dragonborn will be able to equip helmets? If not, could we?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 06:10 PM PDT

It's pretty disappointing to have new transmog helmets be introduced to the game when what most consider the BIS race can't equip them.

    How active is this game?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 08:23 PM PDT

I suddenly got the urge to play DnD based games, after playing baldurs gate 3 early access. I used to play neverwinter on ps4 around 2 years ago and it was pretty packed. Well now I'm wondering if there's still a large player base but for pc and if so how large?🥲

Is It Possible to Make Paladin a DPS

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 03:06 PM PDT

At least, a decent one, was curious because I was thinking of making a Paladin to try it out and wanted to see if I can do as much damage as Barbarian or Fighter but not sure if that's possible.

    Can we talk kits, please?

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 12:06 PM PDT

I've just gotten to a professions level on my main to be able to produce kits. Of course they will cost 75AD each because of course they require AD. Although I'm happy they don't require zen!

Question then, which kits are more efficient to make versus purchase at auction?

Are there other places besides the crafting route and auction route that kits can be found/drop?

Not a super new player, started at the end of March with a fabulous 751 hours in, lol, and just now trying to balance and up my stats with kits. I have all professions above 60 and two above 70, so at least I seem to be able to create the ingredients needed to craft kits.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

    I need some stats tips

    Posted: 17 Oct 2020 10:16 AM PDT

I find that despite having Power and Armor Pen at 120K, Critical Strike and Accuracy around 90K and Combat Adv at 100K, others do disproportionately more damage, i.e. sometimes 5-10x more.

I want to know what caps actually do. So, I used have an Armor Pen @ !40K and Defense @ 125K until I heard they cap at 90K. If they cap at 90K, why are we able to pile on more past that point is it for the ED/TQ downgrades?
