| Posted: 12 Nov 2020 09:26 AM PST In many cases when people compare the positives and negatives of NW, I've mentioned the mounts as a positive. From Tensers, whirlwinds, and now the wings. The art team can do some good looking and fun stuff. Especially considering the aging game engine, toolset, and low requirements. So credit given where credit due. The wings look good. Kudos. (ofc, I can't leave it all positive :D the spacebar animation is somewhat meh, but still good wings). | Posted: 12 Nov 2020 11:21 PM PST I recently thought of adding a NPC to the latest mod/campaign that increases the item level of old equipment. Instead of giving the currency to Zok/Juma(or equivalent) you will give it to this "upgrade" NPC. You will have the choice of getting the latest equipment vs keeping your old ones. Ofc if you grind enough you can have both. This is because I think there isn't enough customization in equipment build. You just need to grind for the best highest item level equipment when a new mod releases. I kind of want to use weapons from legacy campaigns because they look cool etc. This new addition would still keep players attracted to play the latest mod, to get the currency to upgrade to latest item level. Also you will be able to use whatever equipment you want for roleplaying purpose etc. What do you think? Would you still want to use some of the old weapons, if their stats were matched to highest item levels? [link] [comments] | ||
| My Thoughts On The New Celestial Wings Mount Posted: 12 Nov 2020 12:35 PM PST Firstly, they're incredible; in my opinion the best mount with regards to the attention to detail of how it actually moves and portrays that movement. The wings feel life-like, you can feel the movement, the rustle of the feathers, the momentum, the smoothness of transitions. I honestly cannot describe it, it is something that you need to feel for yourself, and at 4,000 Zen (2,800 with a coupon) it is a small price to pay for a legendary mount that increases your bolster, gives you power and movement speed as an equip power, and looks good (if wings are your thing). BUT, they are not YET in a state they should be in; the otherwise perfect look and feel is ruined by the fact that there is no proper jump/glide animation, and the "summon" animation is rather cheap/tacky compared to the rest of the otherwise high-value production. Here is an example of the wings in motion. You can get a feel for them at speed, and also notice the lack of glide/soar animations; it makes the mount feel lifeless. The other example is when you summon it and you are treated to a basic colour overlay which, again, feels cheap compared to the attention to detail that went into the other animations and textures, such as the idle animation as well as the "ride" animation that has several states. One last minor one, but I can live with it, is that under certain lighting conditions the bloom intensity of the engine makes the wings appear washed out, overly bright, and you're unable to distinguish the details of the texture. Not sure if a glow map was added, or if the specular map needs some fine-tuning, but this would be the cherry on top! I really hope that these issues can be looked into and addressed, because honestly I LOVE these wings, and I want to see them get the love that they deserve! [link] [comments] | ||

I'm at 24k item lvl, have a strong heal build and years of experience as a healer in various games, and I have yet to clear the second boss. 2-3 months in the game, I will now chose another toon to main. Also, to players who are moody when they don't win, or when the win was difficult: Not all players have end game gear, take the loss and shut the fuck up, you ruin the game for people around you, have some manners, please. Certain animations generated by the equipment will not be displayed. However, there are Shirts of the Interrogator and Upper and Lower Pact Brands from the Auction House that could have the same look. Upgrading an item to Blessed in the Forge requires 1 Duchess's Blessing per item. The Forge also allows you to purchase Divine Armor for 10,000 Zariel Favors and upgrade it from item level 1230 to item level 1260 for 1 Duchess's Blessing from the Forge. [link] [comments] | ||

The only things in the event store I am interested in require tokens of challenge. I don't want to spend 25$ and not be able to buy what I want.
